A blazer is typically a blue or navy ( although it is obtaining a lot more widespread to find other colors too) with a brass style button on the sleeves and front closure.
A sports coat is more of a suit style jacket.
Both could fall under company dress or enterprise casual- even so enterprise dress is a lot more often associated with a suit.

Question by gho$ t: what are the difference between sport shirts and dress shirts?
i am not clear how to differentiate which is which.(use long sleeve for example) i read some articles saying if the size was labeled S, M, L, XL, then theyre sport shirts, but dress shirts are labeled 15, 16, 17.. ok, ill use i as reference. but i have some shirts labeled M but the fabric looks like it is suitable to wear with slacks. so how can you tell which is dress shirt, which is sport shirt?

The line today is a small blurred, but usually:
a dress shirt is created to be worn with a tie. It has plain white buttons, 1 plain, flat patch pocket and no piping, In the USA, dress shirts are sized with 2 numbers the initial is neck size, in inches, normally between 14 and 18. The second number is sleeve length (because all dress shirts are long sleeved) which is normally between 30 and 40 inches. They may also be marked with a “T” for tall. I take a 16 36 T, BTW.
Sport shirts are shirts with buttons, long or short sleeved, of any color or pattern, that are meant to be worn alone, over jeans, khakis or slacks, or paired with a sweater or a sports coat (which is not a suit coat). They may well have colored buttons, piping, contrast stitching or flat bottoms.
